Post Treatment
After you have had a treatment at True Health we suggest you do the following to receive the best results:
-
Drink plenty of water (at least 1-2 litres during the 24 hrs following the massage) because a treatment can release toxins & lactic acid back into blood making you feel light-headed. Drinking water will help relieve this & flush the toxins from your system. (link to importance of water sheet)
- Use a heatpack / hot shower to keep muscles warm & loose.
-
Stretch all major muscle groups. Hold each stretch for at least 20 sec. (See your therapist for specific stretches for you).(link to stretching sheet)
-
Keep warm after your treatment. Your muscles will be loose & warm (similar to after exercise) so they will cramp & tighten easily if exposed to cold conditions including wind or air conditioning.
-
Follow the advice of your practitioner. This may include stretching, hot/cold therapy, when to book again etc.

House Rules & Etiquette
-
Please turn your telephone off during your treatment. This will allow our practitioners to ensure they are not distracted and that they are able to completely focus on you during your session.
-
Please be aware of other patients in the clinic and keep noise to a minimum, particularly if you have children with you. We ask that children playing electronic games use headphones or turn the volume off. This will ensure our other patients have a fantastic treatment too.
-
Arrive on time for your treatment or please telephone reception 9578 4912 to let them know if you are running late. Just as your time is valuable, we also pride ourselves on our punctuality and strive to ensure that all of our patients receive their treatments on time where possible.
-
Please cancel any booking with 24 hours notice. We understand that emergencies and sickness happen and ask that you please telephone True Health to let us know if you are unable to make the appointment. This allows us to offer this valuable treatment time to another patient in need.
- If possible, please refrain from bringing food into the clinic.
